Recipes to Make For Your Loved Ones on Valentines

It’s Valentine’s Day and you want to surprise your loved ones. You definitely have spent days curating a gift for your special one. But, before presenting it to your partner, how about you startle them with your cooking skills?

Don’t worry. You don’t have to be a professional. Neither do you need a whole lot of ingredients.

So, here I have a list of some breakfast recipes that will make your Valentine’s morning special. These dishes are very simple and easy. And will surely garner you some brownie points.

Pink hued smoothies

Smoothies are delicious and healthy (some more brownie points right here). But, you can add a dose of romance to it by turning it into the color of love. All you need are five ingredients:

  • Choice of milk
  • Bag of frozen strawberries
  • Beetroot
  • Frozen Banana
  • Honey (optional)

Take one cup of frozen strawberries, half banana, half beetroot and one cup of milk (as per your choice) and put them in a blender. Add honey if you want it to be sweet. Mix it all up until you have a smooth consistency.  Pour it into a beautiful glass and serve it with some red flowers and strawberries.

Egg clouds

If clouds had a recipe, it would be this one. Feed your Valentine a pair of egg clouds and see their face light up with a smile. For egg clouds you need:

  • Four eggs
  • Grated Parmesan
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Now, these eggs can be a little more tricky than your regular omelette or sunny side up. Begin by preheating your oven at  446 ℉. While your oven heats up, separate yolks from the egg whites. Add some salt and black pepper to the whites and whisk them until you have stiff peaks. Then take your grated parmesan and add it slowly and carefully into your whites. Make sure you do not deflate the mixture.

Now, take a baking tray and spread a baking sheet on it. And place small quantities of your cheese-white mixture onto the tray. Bake it at 446 ℉ for three minutes. Then take your egg yolks and place it in the middle of these baked whites. Put it in the oven for another three minutes and voila ! Your egg clouds are ready.

Spaghetti Pie

Make Spaghetti a cosy breakfast for your partner by turning it into a pie. Here are the ingredients you’ll need :

  • Cooked spaghetti
  • Egg
  • Grated parmesan
  • Cottage cheese
  • Tomato sauce

Preheat your oven at 350 ℉. Mix cooked spaghetti, egg and Parmesan in a bowl. And press this mixture into a pie plate to form a crust. Then cover it with cottage cheese and tomato sauce. Top it with some more Parmesan cheese and bake it for about 20 minutes.

Lemon curd with croissants

Making croissants can be a tough task but if you want to make everything from scratch, go ahead. Or you can go contact your local bakery. Nowadays, several home bakers deliver fresh and delicious products. They use a online portfolio builder to display their range of products and services. Some of them even deliver freshly baked to your home at very affordable rates. So go through them online and choose the one you like.

Now that your croissants are sorted, you can work on some freshly made lemon curd.  You need:

  • Eggs
  • Lemon zest
  • Lemon juice
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Butter

Fill the bottom of your double boiler with water and put it on high heat. Once the water starts boiling, lower the heat and add the rest of the ingredients in the upper half. Keep mixing the mixture to avoid the egg from cooking. Once the mixture starts thickening, remove it from the heat. While mixing it continuously, gradually add six tablespoons of unsalted butter. Let it rest and serve when cool.

Floral waffles

Waffles are an all time favorite American breakfast. Wake your partner up to a sweet and flowery waffle meal. Here are the ingredients :

  • Whole wheat flour
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Baking powder
  • Vanilla extract
  • Salt
  • Butter

First, mix all your dry ingredients( flour, baking soda, sugar and salt) and wet ingredients ( vanilla extract, milk, eggs and butter) in separate bowls. Then add the wet ingredients into the bowl of dry mixture. Be slow and steady and mix continuously. But, remember to not over mix. Set aside the batter and heat the waffle iron. Pour the mixture into the iron and let it stay for 3 to 4 minutes. Serve your waffle with some berries, syrup and edible flowers.

There you have it ! A list of some very delicious and lovely recipes to start your Valentine’s day with a speck of romance. You can always add your creative ideas and twist the recipes to your preference.

So, which one are you going to make for your Valentine?
